What is the game?
Multiplayer online role-playing game. It is very much modeled upon classics like EverQuest and World of Warcraft. It is a game of socializing with friends, performing valiant deeds, and ultimately sharing your knowledge for the common good. Who do I control and what can I do?
In our world, you can choose to be a stout dwarf, a nimble elf, or a versatile human. In our magic filled land, you can perform many reckless deeds as well as participate in the world’s meta-games. Our game is not unlike any other fantasy MMORPG and hopefully just as fun! Do I have to know physics to play the game?
As the purpose of the game is for you to have fun and teach physics, you do not need to know physics to play it; that would violate the first condition. As a matter of fact, the less you know the better. This is because a portion of the game is meant to show you misconceptions that you may have learned in the past, to destroy old bad learning and replace it with shiny new good physics. Do I have to learn physics to play the game?
We have tried to make our again be as independent from learning physics as possible. That means that the choice to learn physics or not is up to you. As we state above, having fun is our number one condition... While I want you to learn physics, you just want to play the game that's all right to! And while there are sections in which using physics will seem like the only option, we have tried to set it up in such a way that you can always take a lucky guess if that is all you got! What is the current status of the game?
We have many prototypes which show the validity of our game already completed. We are currently building on those prototypes. However a full commercial version is not expected to be available before summer 2010 Will there be a beta test? Can I become part of it?
Will there be a beta test? Can I become part of it? Yes, and yes! As our prototype reaches completion, we will be looking for test leads and testers to safely take us to our game deployment. We will need a healthy army of people to test our system and check for bugs and worse boredom. How much will the game cost to play?
We will charge on a per month subscription basis. Our price will be slightly less than what the commercial games are charging at the time of release. The product will be sold entirely as a download.
